MBTI is useless for me.
Myers-Briggs works so badly for people with compulsively low self-esteem! I am convinced that I get inconsistent results specifically because I value those things which I perceive to be unlike me.

3/13/08: ENTP
3/12/07: INTP / ENTP
2/27/07: ESFJ
12/5/06: ESXJ
7/23/06: INFP / ESFJ / ISFP

You Are An ENTP

The Visionary

You are charming, outgoing, friendly. You make a good first impression.

You possess good negotiating skills and can convince anyone of anything.

Happy to be the center of attention, you love to tell stories and show off.

You're very clever, but not disciplined enough to do well in structured environments.

In love, you see everything as a grand adventure. You enjoy taking risks for love.

And if things don't work out, you're usually not too much worse for the wear!

You would make a great entrepreneur, marketing executive, or actor.

At work, you need a lot of freedom to pursue your own path and vision.

How you see yourself: Analytical, creative, and peaceful

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Detached, wishy-washy, and superficial

It's always been, and still is, INTJ for me. And it's a good descriptor, too.

That test is stupid.

# You have:

* A ton of friends, aquaintances, and people you know
* A few people who are very dear to you

# When deciding on something important, you:

* Look at every fact possible
* Go with your gut

In both these situations: Yes! Indeed I do! Oh, wait, you want me to pick one.

# Your decisions are more likely to be rooted in:

* Emotions and feelings
* Facts and logic

I actually heard my brain go "My decisions are more likely to be rooted in emotions and feelings AND facts AND logic."

I hate that stupid test. R U EMOSHUNUL? OR R U LOJIKAL? J00 KAN ONLY BE 1!!!!

I've scored as an INFP consistently...though I'm not as introverted as the score would make you think. At school, I tend to be extroverted in class discussions, but I think that's because I'm a showoff. But I process things internally and in social situations, I'm pretty quiet unless I know the person/group of people I know pretty well.

I don't believe in "personality", myself.

What assessment did you take?

One of the main reasons people do not get the same 4-letter type on multiple re-takes is because you're not taking the real MBTI. If you are taking a free online version, then it's a fake...and is not backed by any research. It could have bene created by some 16 year old in the basement with nothing to do. To take the real MBTI go to www.mbticomplete.com. That is the only authentic version available to individuals without meeting with a facilitator for feedback.

Also, it is important to understand that many online sites poorly describe the MBTI's purpose. It is all about preferences. For more information check out my blog: http://speakingofmbti.blogspot.com/

Depending on how I'm feeling, I can score as INTP, ENTP, ISFP, or ESFP. And I think at least three of those were done by a pro, so the business about variance coming from bad websites is nonsense, I think.

I suspect the truth of the matter is that some people are the sorts who are consistent over their daily lives, and some people aren't.

I like people who bring this stuff up.
Where did you get that quiz from? It's probably some internet copycat of MBTI. Even the real MBTI is wrong a lot of the time. Fo a better approach to type, you might start with Jung's "psychological types".
