In Friday's poll, most people (82.8%) agreed that "everyone's sensitive about something." The week before that, I mentioned that I was trying to come up with a list of my knee-jerk beliefs. I suspect these concepts are related, but not identical. My life is full of Venn diagrams.
At any rate, I've singled out one of my more irrational knee-jerk reactions. In my particular position, it's completely understandable why I would feel this way, but when I feel the warm fuzzy blanket of indignation wrapping me in response to the gender identity of worms, I think I should admit I have a problem.

Apparently, since last time I backed up, LJ has decided that I can't make a export request while I have an active session. (last backup was in early October). Also, exporting my sizeable LJ in chunks doesn't seem to help any. I did "Everything Prior to 2001" (which is all the backdated stuff) in one chunk. When I went to do the next "volume", I found out I have to wait a few hours before making another export request. Screw it. That's what Google is for, right? |
